WHAT IS PROTAR K SCALP?
PROTAR K SCALP contains Ketoconazole and Coaltar
WHAT PROTAR K SCALP IS USED FOR?
It is used to treat and prevent dandruff and dry or greasy scaling of the scalp (seborrhoeic dermatitis), which is a more severe kind of dandruff
It also treats the inflammation associated with dandruff, relieving scalp redness and itching.
WARNING & PRECAUTION:
TALK TO DOCTOR
Talk to your doctor before using this medicine, if you:
Are allergic to coal tar and ketoconazole or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
Suffer from inflammation of the hair follicles (folliculitis) or acne
Are photosensitive
Suffer from a condition called lupus erythematosus
Have inflamed or broken skin (you have open wounds, or your skin is infected)
PREGNANCY & BREAST FEEDING
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before using this medicine
CHILDREN & ADOLESCENTS
It is not recommended for the children under 12 years of age
INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor if you are using a steroid product (e.g. betamethasone or hydrocortisone) on your scalp
DIRECTIONS & FOR USE:
Always use this medicine exactly as told by your doctor
For external use only
Use every 3 or 4 days for 2 ? 4 weeks
If your scalp has not cleared within 4 weeks, speak to your doctor
If any gets into your eyes wash gently with water
Do not use more than the amount recommended above
If you use more PROTAR K SCALP
If you use more of this medicine, talk to your doctor immediately
If you forget to use PROTAR K SCALP
If you forget to use a dose, use as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for your next dose, just take the next dose and forget about the one you missed
If you stop using PROTAR K SCALP
Consult your doctor before stop using this medicine
SIDE EFFECTS OF PROTAR K SCALP 100ML:
SERIOUS
• Severe allergic reactions, including swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat
• Skin irritation
• Increased sensitivity of the skin to sunlight, or acne-like outbreaks of the skin
UNCOMMON
• Application site reactions including itching, irritation, blistering, red, dry or tender skin or a skin burning sensation
• Inflamed hair follicles, hair loss or change in hair texture
• Increased tear production
• Skin rash and dry skin
RARE
• Eye irritation
• Acne
• Skin inflammation (dermatitis)
• Flaking skin
STORAGE:
Keep out of reach of children
Store at room temperature (15-25°C)
Do not use after the expiry date
